Each year the Center for Culture and Cooperation of the French Government (BGF) grants scholarships under rules applicable to all grantees. The selection of candidates is subject to priorities set by mutual agreement by a committee of French and Bulgarian specialists. The decision of the committee is its sovereign right.

Scholarships of the French government grant for masters level (M2), a doctorate under tutorage (cotutelle), and short stay for doctoral research, for people enrolled in Bulgaria or young researchers, members of Bulgarian scientific teams in areas selected by the candidates themselves.
